I've never soldered before in my life but I just installed a new control plate.

  1. I'm so proud of myself. I just got a Fender Jazz in a trade but the controls were all whacked out to the point where I couldn't get any highs at all from my bass and the bass was not grounded properly. So I just bought a soldering iron and followed a wiring diagram from the Seymour-Duncan website and went to town. It took me a little longer than usual to do it but when it was all said and done it worked when I plugged it in with no buzzing.

  3. Yeah, I kind of want to do it again. I might start my own shop here in the next week just to get some experience.:D

  4. Here ya go! Have at it. It's the control plate for one of the basses on my workbench right now. Have fun!
