  1. look at this..

    lakland ..wow

my question is this...how does this bass sound compared to a musicman stingray 5 H/S? same style pickup config but two totally different beasts. still, can anyone describe how this sounds?

    its a USA 55-94

I agree that that is one of the most beautiful basses ever!!!!

I have heard several 55-94s and 55-02s and can tell you that they are VERY nice sounding and playing basses....never having played a Musicman Stingray 5 H/S I cannot give you a comparison...

Good luck in your decision process (my guess is that you will end up with a Lakie!)

It reminds me of that over priced musicman.
  10. Someone must be researching the term "hyperbole".

It's a bass. It's a pretty color. Doesn't do much for me otherwise.

  11. how does this compare to a sadowsky?

at what each bass is designed to do, which excels more?

Meh... I probably wouldn't sell my first-born son into indentured service to pay for it, but I might consider kidnapping a family, stealing their kidneys and selling them to some shady eastern European surgeon to use on his ex-communist, mafioso friends.

Don't get all excited man. I'd do the same thing for a Double Whopper....we'll I'd probably only have to kidnap one person for that...and the Whopper would have to have extra cheese... but you get the idea.

Any bass with a figured maple top cannot rival the birth of democracy. Sorry.

    I like turtles.
    Nice quilt...

It is very nice. But I would say that only a Warwick could rival the birth of democracy :D ;)

Lovely bass. Doesnt do much for me otherwise. Ive seen some laklands that really kick arse though. I have a thing for the ones with pickguards as well.

I don't like blue ones. Or fancy figured tops. I'd feel under-dressed if I had a bass like that - I'd have to go out and either buy some gold chains or a jacket with diamante studs on the shoulders.
