This handmade bass was the one that we sent to Korean for the proto-typeing of the new Retronix basses.. We sent it unpainted because we wanted them to see the body carving lines clearly without any paint build up in the way. the body is 2 piece Honduran mahogany with lots of comfort carving to the body a 5 piece neck with a jazz bass profile made from maple and purpleheart with a rosewood board. and features like a dual action truss rod, 20 frets, pearl dots, hand carved bone nut, "heel matched" neck carve and 6 bolt body mounting.. the hardware consists of Hipshot ultralite tuners and Hipshot ABM styled brass Bridge. and Dunlop strap locks and the Electrosocket jack cup. Electronics are Seymour Duncan Pickups ( 2 vintage "51s and a Quarter pounder) CTS pots and 5 way switch and Switchcraft Jack. along with a gator case. this should be a very standard workhorse of a bass. it just came back from Korea and I realized that I had never taken or shown any photos of it anywhere... So..for the sake of the history of the company, here they are.
I just noticed the bugs that had landed on the bass while taking the photos. I never saw them while taking the photos.. this has been a very HOT, humid and buggy summer here in TN.
