j bass bridge selection

    i know its the wrong place to ask but i bought the fender highway 1j-bass and i noticed i didnt really like "vintage bridge" it had, so can you give some ideas on what bridge i should get.

    Just remember that if you go with a high mass (heavy) bridge, you'll change the bass's tonal characteristics. If you don't want to change the tone find a bridge that weighs about the same.
    But first, I guess I should have asked if it is the bridge you don't like or is it the saddle pieces? If it's just the saddle pieces you can get after-market saddles which might suit you.
    If you decide to go with a new bridge try to find one that uses the same screw holes so you don't have to drill new ones.

    personaly, i prefer Hipshot A style...your gonna have to drill some holes though for it.
