    hey everyone.

i need a question answered abotu the knobs on a MIM jazz. everyone that i have played i have never been able to figure out which knobs do what. i hear differneces in tone when i play around with them, but it seems i have to turn them all down (i think it's down, can't tell) to turn the volume off. how are they set up? volume/tone/tone? tone/tone/volume/? tone/volume/tone? if anyone can shed soem light on this, i'd appreciate it.

  2. It's very simple. As viewed from the players standpoint:

The knob closest to the pickup is the neck pup volume.

The next lower knob is the bridge pup volume.

The knob closest to the jack is the tone control.

Pickup blending is done with the top two controls
