    Yes, yes and yes.
Not to forget the Variotone, which is a very qute feature.
It is also well balanced for a headed, and hangs nicely in place. Find one - try one!

I've played one in a music store many months ago. I've been dreaming of playing another one ever since. Such a great bass. The tone I was getting that day was just perfect. I can't really explain it, but it was just so amazing. The perfect blues bass IMO.

The jack is a great bass.
Do yourself a favor and check the Lakland Skyline Hollowbody.
It's always a good idea to check out the competition.
You may still like the Jack better but at least you'll know for sure.

Count me in as another satisfied owner. My JC is my current weapon of choice.

I am very curious about the Laklands too, just wish they came with binding and chrome pickups...

My Jack bass is my main 4 string and i gigied alot last year with it. By far the best semi hollow bass i have played.
  7. I love the Jack bass. I don't love the Lakland, tho it intrigues me.

Nice to see they offer a skyline version tho.
  8. Rock on...it's a fabulous instrument. I'm selling mine right now only because of ergonomic issues I have with it :(

    I love the JC bass
Bought one a year ago, played it all of summer of 2003.
I lent it to a friend of mine, she will not give it back.
    She finally bought it.
    Good bass.

Their is alot of info if you do a serch on the Epiphone Jack Casady bass.
  11. Another Jackbass owner here.

Tone wise, it is very hard to beat this bass. The varitone switch gives you 3 noticeably different tones: Setting

    1) Gives a delicate tone which almost sounds like an upright with frets.
    2) Gives you a tone that I can only describe as "semi hollow-body P-bass."
    3) Gives you a hard rock-type snarl.

This bass impresses you right off the bat, and keeps growing on you as time passes. I've had mine a little over 3 years now.

Perfect for Blues, Country, Surf, Motown, Classic Rock.

    Get one. ;)

Be very selective as to what amp you use with this bass, not every amp brings out the true acoustic's of it.
