This is sn #1059, one of the first Jack Casady
Signature basses made. IMHO the first run was
the best in terms of quality, wood, finish, and
setup. This one has been a wallhanger in a music
store for the last 3 years and never out of the
    store, sold as new.

Plays fantastic, neck is straight, no buzzes or
    fret noise anywhere

    Hey Phil,

What are you asking for it? I probably can't afford it right now but I like to dream. I could sell my head & cab (since they aren't getting any use) if it looked like that would get me enough.

    Howdy Craig!

It's on that popular online auction site, and I started
it at $399, right now it's at $455 and holding
    pretty steady.

What makes this one special, is that I've been
    following Jack Casady around relentlessly
    since 1969 and have taken a disciple-like
attitude towards his basses. This one is set
up so nice and plays so smooth, when you do
the auction "can I trust the poseur who is selling
me his bass" routine it gets scarey. This one
    is the real deal

    Bless those hollow basses!

    Hey Phil,

That's a great bass, nice stack in the background, too. I wish I could bid on it. Unfortunately one of my auction high bidders was out of the country (and I specified US-only in the auction) so I'm working to get my fees back so I can relist. I'm sure it will find a new home quickly. I probably won't be able to get a Casady until they are completely discontinued and the price skyrockets.
