Hello, I`m thinking about buying a X SERIES CONCERT BASS CBXNT IV and using it for indie, alternative rock (maybe a little bit of motown) type of music. I`m left-handed, so I flip basses, and this design is a good candidate for that (easy access to frets up to 19th, body relatively balanced after flipping, knobs not too much in the way). Basses :: X Series Concertâ„¢ Bass CBXNT IV, Laurel Fingerboard, Matte Army Drab I know Jackson basses are originally branded as a metal instruments. Do you know of any reason why it should not sound good with the types of genres I listed? Thank you!
I play a Jackson David Ellefson 5 string in Quicksilver in a Indie-pop band. I think they're underrated as I find them very versatile.
The Jackson bass you are looking at is a PJ, if you can play it it can handle the sound for any style.
