These are rare indeed, and around 6k "new". The bass is simply awesome in every way- Clear, distinct, and bold indeed. What's amazing is the ultra-futuristic idea of a "steel" bass, yet has an all too familiar P Bass feel- remarkably comfortable. This from the Trussart website, with only a string change indicated...

    • Hollow Steel Body with perforated front and back.
    • Bolt-On Maple Neck with Recessed Steel Head Cap
    • Neck Shape- 60's style
    • Maple Fingerboard
    • 34" Scale
    • 1-1/2" Wide Nut
    • 10" Radius
    • Frets #6105
    • 4 Saddle Bridge
    • Controls- Volume (with a push Pull passive active switch), Pan, Treble and Bass
    • Arcane Inc. Hand Wound "P" style in the neck position and a "J" style in the bridge position. Other options are available upon request.
    • Custom Active Preamp
    • Weight 9.5 Pounds
    • Setup with TI nickel strings *
    • Made In America
    • Includes a James Trussart signed Certificate of Authenticity
    • High quality G&G® Hard Case is included in the price of the instrument
    • Patent Pending
    • Base Price: $5884
A unique, special bass, at a really great price. Mint condition, with case and all.

I agree with Gorn... classy move. And if I were rich, I'd buy this in a heart beat.
