  1. Well I'm getting together with a guitar player and drummer tomorrow... we're going to run through a couple of covers and jam. The covers are easy, but I'm a little nervous about just playing some spontaneous parts out of the blue... I think I'm pretty good for the time I've been playing, but I don't want to make myself look like an idiot. Can anyone offer any advice or anything?

And where the heck is Phish when you need them?
  2. Just let it flow. Jamming isn't about worrying how good your gonna sound, it's about thinking stuff up off the top of your head. It's fun, from my experiences anyway. Just don't worry and have fun.

Don't even think about the jamming part. Once you've played your covers you'll come up to the jamming and you'll probably be into "it" already and it'll just come to you just like it (almost) always does with jamming.

Don't worry and just have fun tomorrow!
