    Gone way too soon.

One of thee best bass players in modern bluegrass that never won IBMA bass player of the year. He has been called a human metronome. Check out his work with James King, Mountain Heart and Sideline. No deeper pocket then Jason and no finer a person.

Based upon your words, and the words of that article, I really wish I had met him and had seen him play in person. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Jason was a fantastic musician and a really great guy. His playing was a lesson in timing, tone, and note choice. He had an old-school approach that suited everything he was involved in. Gone entirely too soon.
