Jazz bass body weight

    I'm looking at a loaded jazz body that is 6 lbs 15 oz. Is that a decent weight for just a body? Seems heavy

    So pretty much 7 lbs (16 oz=1 lb) If you can mount a neck w/tuners + strings that weighs no more than 2 additional lbs (9 lbs total), most people would consider that acceptable. Over 9 is where some players start drawing the line for the weight of a bass. Ideally, I prefer 8+lbs but 9 lbs is ok.

    Yeah. Bummer, I want a daphne blue jazz so bad.

    On a related note, sweetwatet has a 8 lb on the dot squier, kinda want it just because it is so light
