  4. I got a Ibby SR300 just awhile ago. I've been thinking about putting jazz pups in it.

  5. +1 for the modern player

Jaguar... I dig mine. Just got it. 200 bucks. Granted I feel the bridge pickup doesn't have enough bite but I'm dropping in a Vintage Alnico for 25 bucks so that should help.

Some are missing the point.... The Jaguars are a good choice. The Deluxe Active P Bass Special has a Jazz neck. New they are beyond you budget limit but used ones would fit it. The Ibanez SRs will have a thin neck similar to a Jazz and likewise the Peavey Millennium BXPs.

I think Peavey Furys (Furies?) have thin Jazz-like necks.

+1 I'm playing a Sterling HS mostly these days and it's got that jazz style neck but the music man sound and with the pickup selector switch, I can get a close jazz bass sound if I need it.

  16. I prefer a Jazz neck and have always loved Aria because of their necks. They are also inexpensive and pretty well made. I beleive the PJ (which I have) is the same neck as the Jazz.
