Has anyone put a series/parallel switch i their jazz bass?
How did it affect the sound? Sounds more like a P-bass, or what? Where do you put the switch without affecting the bass too much estetically and valuewise?

I had a jazz bass copy with a s/p switch. My L2500 also has one. As a rule, series is louder but dirtier, parrallel has less output, but more clarity. I like having both options, and I especially like the idea of using that pot so there is no need to add a hole in the bass.

  4. I posted a mod for that here a couple of years ago. In the archives...do a search for "jazz bass series parallel mod". Basically, with series wiring you get a fuller, more punchy sound. I like it, and have never dumped the mod.
