Jazz control plate with pots/jack

Discussion in '[OLD FORUM] Bass Guitars, Amps, and Accessories: F' started by lustreking, Feb 7, 2003.

  1. SOLD!! To pmkelly

This is a "virtually new" control plate from a Geddy Lee Jazz Bass. This is a great upgrade to your Squier or aging Mexican Jazz. It has CTS pots, and a Switchcraft Jack. It also has the vintage style knobs. Control configuration is V/V/T. I will include a diagram for wiring.

  3. hmm... Ok I did some looking...
You can get a control plate from Stewmac.com for around $15
I think I paid around $15 for my vintage style knobs.
Pots and jacks are around $4-$5...

I just noticed there's a small scratch on the plate near the topmost screw hole(in the first picture). It appears that it was made on the stock metal before it was chromed because it appears to be an indentation in the chrome. It's 1/8" to 1/4" long. I can't really capture it in a picture because the chrome is so shiny.

Anyway, all said and done.... how does $20 to your door sound?
