Just do a search for some jazz vocalists and write down a list of the tunes that are on the albums.

    Here's a few to start

    Billie Holiday
    Sarah Vaughan
    Ella Fitzgerald
    Carmen McRae
    Sinatra

I'd say burn your Real Book and look for more Latin-oriented tunes like:

    Rio de Janeiro Blue
    Southern Exposure
    Louisiana Sunday Afternoon
Basia stuff (Basia is the singer, not the name of the tune. "Astrud" is a good tune she does)
Rene Marie stuff (She does Tennessee Waltz in four, and it's hilarious)
There's a Sade tune called Smooth Operator that has a very nice groove.

    Beyond The Sea
    The Way You Look Tonight
    The Look Of Love
    Fly Me To The Moon
What Do You Get When You Fall In Love
    Girl From Ipanema

Check out any Michael Buble cd. He's got a ton of good stuff!

If you're looking for "slightly funky", then I second the recommendation to play more Latin-flavored stuff, though if you want all the lyrics to be in English that will limit your choices somewhat. "Smooth operator" definitely counts there, "Girl From Ipanema" has already been mentioned several times, also throw in "Corcovado" and "Desafinado" - I've run across English lyrics for those.

I'd also recommend adding some Cole Porter songs, though it's not that easy to play or sing but a lot of his lyrics are great. "Love for sale" or "It's all right with me" should work great in slightly funky versions.

Other than that, "I wish you love" is a personal favorite of mine, even better if you can do the original French lyrics as well as the English.
