Play both, buy the one that sounds better to you.

    The end.

I have one of each so I can't really help you here. I still have an issue making a choice on which one I should play sometimes, which makes my Peavey T-40 get no love. Good Luck

The correct answer is always Precision.

  9. The only thing for certain is, you will make the wrong choice. Good luck.

both awesome, but if you're a guy with doubts... go Jazz

you can get it's own versatility of tones plus lot's of P-like tones as well

The one whose sound and sound versatility or lack thereof, appeals most along with the one whose neck is nicest to you. If fender dont make the right combo (pups and neck) then look elsewhere.

don't forget feel - there is as big of a difference in feel of the narrower neck on a J as there is in sound...
