Anyone ever try this? Is it a good revision?

I once had a beat '72 Jazz and I had that mod done to it. Decided I didn't like it and had it switched back. I found I much preferred having a separate volume for each pickup to having a master volume and a pickup pan. YMMV, of course. A well-known luthier told me that in his opinion, a pickup blend knob on a passive bass is a detriment to tone.

Thanks for the advice Dave. Think I'll pass on this one.

  4. I also did that, and changed it back again. The luthier is right, there is much greater tone control from two volume knobs. I decided to take that a step further, and changed the vol and blend on my Bartolini setup to vol and vol. Same thing, big improvement.
