Jazzin' up the Jazz

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by IotaNet, Apr 4, 2005.

  1. To the Group ...

Got my Aerodyne Jazz yesterday and its sweet! But that left my original MIM feeling a little lonely and neglected so I decided to "jazz her up" a little.

I thought I'd post some pics and see what you guys thought ...

Nice, I'm not a fan of wooden pickguards though, I would have kept the chrome plate, and maybe changes the white pickguard to comething other than wood. Is the bridge still the same one under there?

Wooden picguards are pretty neat, but I probably would've kept the chrome plate. Otherwise, cool! I remember a year or two at NAMM ago when there were Pedullas (I think) with flamed maple pickguards.

WOW. I love it. Really takes it to a new level.

How much did it all cost you??
  6. $30 for the pickguard, $38 for the Fender hardware. (And yes, that's the original bridge under there.)

FWIW, I did consider keeping the chrome control plate but I wanted something totally "different" than I'd ever seen. AND I wanted something that would be completely different than my Aerodyne.
  7. You did all that in a day? :)
Looks great tho. Pretty unique I should think.

Get some boxwood knobs! That would look sick with that wooden pick guard.
  9. Great Idea!!!!

    Who sells 'em?
