Or accepting best offer this is well below market value.
Bought this bass to have repaired and the repair has been done. I just cannot stand to see a great instrument be suffering so had to rescue it. Lol ...so read on the details are described below.

JP basses Naia 6. 34” scale 19mm spacing
    custom handmade in Paris France.

I am looking to sell it or will trade for a similar value 6 string with neck-thru construction and 18mm or 19mm string spacing which is my preference. 1000-1400 dollar range. Let’s make a deal. This baby is worth way more than the asking price.

    African Padouk Neck
    Wenge Fingerboard
    Ayous... Obeche Body
    Wenge Top
African Paduck veneer between body and top
    Hipshot style B bridge
    Hipshot ultralite tuners
    Chrome hardware
    24 frets

Custom Kent Armstrong pickups made for JP basses
    John East U-Retro preamp

    Shipping to CONUS.

Gorgeous instrument and a great bass. Made In Paris France...Handmade. Only about 50 JP Basses were ever made over a 12 year period from 1994-2006 in Paris by luthier Jean-Phillipe Ferreira.
(More info can be found on the Skjold website since Pete Skjold is making a few of Jean-Phillipe’s designs due to his love of his work and fine instruments).

Fingerboard and neck has a very classical guitar feel to it.

I purchased this bass to get back to great playing condition from a TBer here a while back. You can see the threads on this great bass which document its history and the former neck issue. I will describe the repair below.
It is at least worth $2000 and really a boutique bass like this is in the $2500–$4000 range.

So previously the bass simply had the truss rod adjusted as much as it would go and there was still just a bit too much relief even then the bass was quite playable but the issue needed correcting.
And so the bass has been repaired now.
The neck was removed from the bass, the truss rod was then removed from the bass and the bass was clamped down for over two weeks to reset the fibers of the wood in the neck. The way that is done is that the neck was clamped down in a heat controlled environment and this changes the molecules to the wood and that is what allows the fibers in the wood to reset permanently.
Then after that process is finished the truss rod was reinstalled into the neck with the proper backbow restored and so it allows the neck to be reattached and strung up to normal with the truss rod adjustable now and able to do a correct professional setup.
The truss rod and neck is now perfectly adjusted and the main thing is that it has plenty of adjustable range left. It is good to go.
The bass plays great. It has a two way truss rod that works perfectly. It just needed the neck to have the necessary back bow put in it.
Sometimes this can happen over the years if the truss rod is not allowed to do enough of the work so it is a good reminder to check and adjust your basses regularly to prevent this.

    The controls are:

There are two switches one switches the active electronics on or off.
The other switch is for a slightly enhanced bright circuit it is suble and not brittle but just a little extra brightness to the active electronics.

    Knobs
    1 volume.
2 A four John East custom selector switch for four different preamp options which is cool as it is like having four preamps in one.
3 Pan/blend for the two pickups
    4 Lows
    5 Highs

Very versatile settings to cover the spectrum of available sounds.

Sits and balances nicely on your knee due to the great wrap around lower bout.
Balances very well standing with a strap as well. Very comfortable.

The body has the normal playing wear and such as shown in the pictures lots of little dings but nothing major at all just normal usage.
But NO dings or dents on the neck at all.

Looking for a 18 mm or 19mm string spacing 6 string neck-thru if trade. Or sell for best offer.

More pictures below. Ask questions if I have left anything details out. I have tried to completely describe everything. This will make someone a great handmade boutique bass for a bargain.

These basses were made in France, not Italy.
