jensen speaker

    i'm considering these for an homemade cabinet. not sure about the model. what do you think of jensen speaker quality in general?

    i have a SWR sm 400s and i'm thinking about a homemade cabinet with 2x12 and 1x 15.
    ZJ0651 JB12/150-8W these are the 12"
    ZJ0752 JB15/200W and this is the 15"

    open to your suggestion!

    My take is that they are good speakers, but not great speakers. The specs for the 15" are a little conservative - that's a small voice coil and small magnet for a 15". If you're not going to push them really hard, they'd probably be okay, but I wouldn't call them bulletproof.

    Ashdown uses Jensen in some of their cabs, and I think they emphasize having a nice vintage tone as opposed to being the loudest and most rugged speaker on the planet. So I wouldn't push them really hard.
