As much as I love the construction, aesthetics, playability, and tone of this bass, the neck shape (kind of a flattened D) is not as comfortable for me as are some of my other basses. I should point out that this is due to my admittedly bad habit of hooking my thumb over the top of the fingerboard, instead of keeping it on the back of the neck, where it belongs. :p

At any rate, this beauty deserves to be played, and I need to pass it on. It is in mint condition, and comes with the Drozd soft-side case. Here are some shots from when it was for sale at LAG:

    E_V_Maple1.

    E_V_Maple4.

    E_V_Maple2.

    E_V_Maple3.

It has custom Drozd pickups, and an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. The body is etimoe, the top is flamed, spalted maple, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is ebony.

I would like $3,100, shipped anywhere in the continental US.

Good point. I don't have anything that would even come close to the qaulity of that bass.

    Tom,
I have a '92 Sadowsky 24 fret. Would you have any interest in that?

A friend of mine and fellow TBer got a Drozd recently.

It's one hell of a nice bass, that's for sure.

Best of luck on the sale, Tom.

I've seen some of the other more ornate Drozd's around and didn't really care for them, but the simplicity of this one seems to be really sexy.

Now that is tempting, and everyone knows I am a sucker for a Sadowsky, but I am extremely happy with my 25th Anniversary 24F, so I'll probably pass. I am attempting to pare down a bit, here. :help:

And I love my Sad too. Actually, it has my last name penciled in the neck pocket. But someday..... I just have to get a JD.
