Placing up on the for sale / trade block a very special and unique bass. I am the original owner, purchased this bass from Dan at luthiers Access Group, then traded her off and liked it so much I got her back. However, I have come to the realization that I am far more comfortable on a 5. That said, I would be open to a few different basses including but not limited to Ritter, MTD, Sadowsky, Ken Lawrence, Alembic, Pavel, and Ken Smith. The bass is dead mint and trade value would be closer to the $3700-$3800 mark. Feel free to ask if you any questions!

    Oh My Goodness!!!!

Can you update the listing to include info on the pups? And, I am not clear on the thumb rest versus ramp and the different pups you refer to.

  3. Sorry for the confusion. There is a ramp that lives between thread of the fretboard and the triple coil pickup. If you look at the two closeup images of the body, there is one image with and one without the ramp. I hope that clarifies it. There is only one pickup.

Nope. I saw the ramp (which is amazingly cool BTW). It is actually the "available" thumbrest I am referring to. And is the "standard JdEXS pickup" the "triple coil pickup" referred to in that sentence? Not sure how a picture of a ramp is supposed to clarify all of this.

Here is a link to better pics of this fine instrument.

    Shutterfly

I can attest that the playability and craftsmanship on this instrument are superior to the Fodera's and Ken Lawrence's I have owned.
