  2. I've been looking into JD basses for a while now. All I have to do is convince my wife.:)
I've ran across some good deals on used ones, but still convincing my wife that a $5000 bass is that much better than my $2300 bass is going to be a tough sell.:D

But by far....IMHO......They are the best looking basses I have ever seen. In person or in pics.

    Looks great, probably sounds killer...

Is it just me, or do the upper horns on Drozd basses look a bit "Phallic"?

    :ninja:

  5. 2 cats I know became Drozd players in the last year and I finally got the chance to meet the luthier and play his basses this year at NAMM.

all I can say is... *WOW*!!!

gorgeous workmanship, beautiful aesthetics, and the playability is superb. on top of that the tone is just lush. he makes a stupendous fretless.

as if I'm not stupid poor enough already, he and I started talking about having him build one for me. chances are, if this ever happens it will b down the line a bit, but... yount!

are all bass players this masochistic?

    from the depths of idiocy,

    Stew
