I saw on twitter earlier today that Talkbass' very own Justin Meldal-Johnsen is going to be producing the 4th Paramore album. I know Paramore doesn't get a whole lotta talk & threads around here, so I don't know how the majority on here feel about them, or if they're even aware of Paramore. Either way, with JMJ on board, it should be a fantastic album, and most likely, their best so far.

I like Paramore, a nice enjoyable pop rock band.

    Awesome news!

I've always liked how paramore sounded and they always got really nice produced songs and sounds! This could take the whole band to a new level!

Just to bump this, JMJ has been discussing said P-more record in his own forum along with some Jeremy Davis gear talk. I was extremely unsure as to how it would turn out what with Zach and Josh being gone, but man, it's almost like a totally new band. The album has been on constant rotation since last week.

Also, I will say if you don't like the single "Now", the rest of the album at least IMO is much different. The new single "Still Into You" is much more like the other songs.

The bazz tone on this album too... ho.mah.lawd. Just to die for.

  5. I'm sure there isn't much love for Paramore on these boards, as they are not jazz, but hey - I love them! I'm 40 years old, and I think they are one of the freshest sounding bands to come out in a long time. Bummer the two brothers quit, but I think the 'new' guitar player will easily fill those shoes. Jeremy - some nice bass lines, not overplayed, certainly not technically difficult, but he anchors the band nicely. I'm looking forward to the new disc!
