Anyone ever compared the skyline JO neck with the USA models. I've played a Skyline, and the neck is really great, thin and a smooth feel...is the USA just as thin or is it a different profile/size..thanks!....

hmmm, good question. I have a Skyline DJ and USA JO. The DJ is definitely slimmer feeling, but I believe that was intentional on Lakland's part for that model. The biggest difference you'll notice is the satin finished neck of the Skyline vs. the oil finished neck on the USA. They're both nice. I guess the Skyline feels more familiar since it's like other modern basses. The fine details of USA Laklands all add up to make them stellar basses.
