it looks good on him but i cant see him playing anything but a P, and an occasional stingray
Like he needs to rest his right elbow on the back end of it, like The Ox did.
whos the ox?
it does look slightly un balanced but i thinkt hats because the headstock looks like hes pushing down because of its shape
That's it. Your bassist card, please.
Too late... Hand the card to jammadave and meet us in the parking lot...
::steps to parking lot::
i think he also plays one in the "Friends will be friends" video.
Then who is he?
John played this Bass in 3 official Releases:
1. In the "Princes of the Universe" Video (That great "Highlander" like Video, with Mercury fighting against Christophe Lambert)
2. In the "Friends will be friends" Video
3. Through the whole "Live at Montreux" Gig!
I almost answered that.
That's wrong...on that video he played a Giffin bass.
this is true... im watching the video right now
and it looks like Brian is playing a Jackson
Brian's guitar on that video was a Washburn RR2V "Flying Vee".
Who makes the Buzzard, BC Rich? Looks like one of theirs.
status and warwick. if you want to see the best collection of them, check out the book BASS CULTURE: THE JOHN ENTWISTLE COLLECTION. i know i have recommended that book before but it never hurts to remind.......
I saw some pics of Queen set up for a photo shoot playing unusual insturments.
Brian May was playing a Stratocaster copy. "Satellite" was on the headstock
John Deacon was playing a Travis Bean (?) bass.
I have never seen either of them play these instruments before or after.
Freddie was wearing blue jeans and a "Flash" t-shirt. It looked strange for him to be dressed like a 'regular guy'.
Does anyone know the purpose of pics without their regular axes ?
or the alembic version:
VERY PRETTY BASS
I guess it was a photo shoot for the promotional video of the song "Play The Game" from the album "The Game".
Brian's guitar was a Satellite Strat, John played a Kramer custom bass and Freddie had just drastically changed his look from the glam rock star to a "macho" figure.
or maybe it was a promo for the music vide for making magic.. and that shot was supposed to be in the middle of being bums and rock stars?
