    Hi,

Anyone out there that could provide a little direction on wiring up my John East assembly with EMG's? I've sent an email to John, he's a very helpful gentleman albeit quite a busy man.

Whilst waiting for a response, I thought i might ask the question on TalkBass (equally as helpful and informative).

I will be running a 9 Volt system.

Q 1. Do I connect BLi power (B), EMG pickups Power (D) & (E) ? and where is best location to connect power for Bli & Pickups?

    Q 2. Is (C) connected to Ground? (and I would assume not being 18v I would not use/remove (A)?

    Q 3. What are (F), (G) & (H)?

Many thanks to anyone who can help ensure I don't get it wrong!

    * (H) Marked BL is for the connections to the BLI unit.

    * (C) - brown connect to the black side of (H).

    * (A) - orange connect to red side of (H) if 18V system.

    * (B) - red connect to red side of (H) if 9V system.

    * Note: As instructions state, connect either the red or the orange only, insulate to the wire not used.

NECK & BRIDGE are pickup feeds as you've shown.

    * Whites (hots) to RH sides of each connector.

    * Blacks (colds/grounds) to LH side of each connector.

    * (G) is battery power input to the preamp, either from the battery clip supplied or a battery box in the instrument. Connect as appropriate.

    * (D) & (E) are battery power inputs to the active pickups.

    * Join (D) & (E) and connect into the red side of (G).

    * (F) is for all grounds and screening connections, such as the bridge ground.
