In active mode:

• When the pickups-switch is towards the jack, it uses the blend-knob to control the blend of the pickups.
• When the pickups-switch is away from the jack, the blend-knob has no function. Both pickups are active with an equal mix.
  
• 

In passive mode:

• The blend, bass, treble, mid, and mid-frequency knobs are all disabled. Volume and passive-tone knobs are the only ones active.
• When the pickups-switch is towards the jack, only the bridge-pickup is active.
  
• When the pickups-switch is away from the jack, both pickups are active with an equal mix.
•
