Cliff Burton! And he only used 4 strings.

  3. I´m not gonna vote here... simply because no one is better than other... (well, they ARE both better than me but that´s different...)

    and they´re also pretty different...

    btw... baroque... good one! :)

isn't that like comparing, if you'll excuse the guitar analogy, a Fender Strat and a Gibson Les Paul?

More like a Samick Tele copy and a Gibson Les Paul Ultima. I think you can guess who is Entwhistle. ;)

    BTW, WHO CARES?

what's up with all the "Is this guy better than this other guy" threads??

For one, comparing Flea to Entwhistle is like comparing apples to oranges, in my opinion.

And who cares who is better?? They are both outstanding at what they do, they play two completely different styles of music, and they are both better than me.

I went into a music store a couple of weeks ago and was talking to some kid who'd just picked up the bass a year ago...he dreams of one day getting a Music Man.

I was talking to him for a good long time, showing him stuff, and so forth. Great kid! I wish him the best. Anyway, the subject of "who do you listen to" came up. I think he was impressed by my playing...I've been playing 18 years, and I doubt he's even 16 years old. So, I don't think it's bragging to say I could do more than he could.

Anyway, he asked my opinion on who's a good bassist. I told him Entwistle (notice no "H"!!!). He told me Flea, and that he'd never heard of Entwistle.

    Sad, but true!

  18. i dont even think "john entwistle" is real

Yeah, man! Totally unreal! For someone who's been classically trained on multiple instruments and played the bass guitar for 42 years, he sure sucks!;)
