Hmmm, never heard that John Entwistle owned a Cirrus.

But he said he can confirm it.

I saw this a couple of days ago and considered posting. I thought it was probably a scam. I think that's what most bidders thought too, since last I checked, it was only at like $400. That's super cheap for a cirrus, let alone a cirrus that was owned by Entwistle.

  6. Sorry, but you have really confused me. The auction is only 36 or so hours old and is currently at $100. How could you have seen this a couple of days ago at $400? Is there another auction for this bass????

I could have seen it only yesterday... But I swear it was at $400... Maybe it was taken down and relisted? I know I saw it in the past two days, and it was at $400.

  8. Youre right, its worth the $100 regardless

Unless it's a scam, which it kind of looks like. I mean, I assume that's why nobody's bidding on it.

Of course it is. That's why it says this: (Reserve Not Met)
Although the bass may or may not have been Entwistle's, the auction itself (as well as the seller) looks legit.

  11. Too strange! :ninja: Maybe the bass was owned by a "John Entwhiste"............a 14 year old kid with the same name. :eyebrow:

Brings to mind the Cheers episode where Sam had to marry Jacquilene (sp??) Bisset to win a bet and just found another girl with the same name. LOL!

OT trivia question: Who was the bettor in this episode?

    Sorry for the ramble,

    J.

I wonder why he types this small...it's like he's hiding something...

Does give specifics on the instrument at all, only gives a body shot, and only has 96% feedback. How exactly does this seem legit?

Because he has 96.7% positive (that's almost 97% BTW) of 113 feedbacks/auctions. HELLO! :eyebrow: ;)
That's a little hard to fake unless you've completely hijacked someone's account (especially since he's been a member since 1999).

Small print? I figure he just made a mistake entering the HTML code. :smug:

96.7% when you only have 113 feedbacks is only one or two negatives. I have this many, but READ THE COMMENTS, maybe they were retalitory (I haven't read them myself)

And yes, it looks like a mistake while entering html. Probably hit size=1 instead of size=2 or 3, which is pretty standard.

    Let "fourstringdrums" know.
    He's still not convinced.:smug:

  17. Why, Kramer (Michael Richards), of course...

And what did he end up getting out of the deal?

The fact that it only shows the body leads me to believe it may be a cheap ripoff :bag:
