Anyone knows in the forum John Lee, bassist for Dizzy Gilespie Band? Wich bass (looks like a JB without the decal) is he using on the United Nations Orchestra show at the Royal Festival Hall in London 1989 ? What a nice playing ... He's a master !

looks like a Jazz without the decal, but an ebony board?- hard to say- John Lee is great-
i have an old John Lee and Gerry Brown record that is a classic fave- and i loved him with Larry Coryell and the Eleventh House

agree with Adrian. Its either an older fender jazz and the Decal is gone for whatever reason and could be a Braz rosewood board or its a replacement neck. Then a gain it could just be a parts bass put together that kicks Butt!

I don't think its any particular brand though unless an old fender.

The Bass looks like it has a bad ass bridge, replaced tuners, and looks like the control knobs are different, also on the head stock it has 2 things(the circle things usually between the D and the G string on most fenders) to hold the strings down past the nut.
