Not sure I've got the optimal right hand fingering going here. How do most play the the part of this tune (right after the intro) that starts on D (5th fret A string)?

    This part:
    G|------7---7----|
    D|----7---7---7--|
    A|--5-----------5 |
    E|-----------------|

I've had the most success with:
    T-I-M-I-M-I-T, and
    M-I-M-M (RAKE)-I-I (RAKE)-M

I get better punch with the second method, but better timing with the first. I'll work on it slowly until it's right, but wanted to see if there is a preferred RH technique for this classic Zep tune before I clock too many hours on it.

    Thanks!

  2. Have you spent any time doing it this way . . .

    G |--------7-----7--------|
    D |-----7-----7-----7-----|
    A |--5-----------------5--|
    E |-----------------------|
    --|--I--M--I--I--M--M--M--|

Yep - that works well. Seems so obvious now- not sure why I was having a mental block but I was. Thanks- this helped!
