    I see you posted this a couple of years ago as well.
    This is an example of how a bass player can get good use out of open strings & fretted strings--as discussed in another thread.

    I have no doubt this is JPJ, but is this a live recording or an alternate take? The runtime on this recording is 6:08 and the studio version is 5:34. Whatever the case, JPJ was definitely the master of subtly carrying Zeppelin!
