I feel like I'm going to regret this down the line, but I've been switching up my setup and this pedal just isn't getting the love it deserves in my current projects. I think this pedal is well known around here, but if you don't know, this is John's take on an Orange tube amp in-a-pedal. It can be clean, it can be grindy as hell. You get a lot of range out of the 3 band EQ, especially when you bring your tone knob into the mix. John's description: "One of my favorite pedals that I've built to date has to be the Orange Preamp emulator. I've read comments like "That pedal has the sound that I have in my head" and "Big, loud, fat and punchy", just to name a few. This pedal uses four Jfet transistors to emulate the tubes with the EQ section before the gain stage in the circuit. I built it originally just for myself, but I've now built a few more of them for people that just had to have one." It's in excellent condition. Own #14 of the 20 out there. $250 OBO + $6 CONUS shipping. Let me know if you have any questions! This pedal seriously nails that Orange toan. I haven't taken mine off the board since I got it. Great pedal! How has this not sold yet?!
It really does. I ended up getting the Orange Crush 100 but I hate the XLR out on that amp. Trying to find a way to run the preamp into my Radial J48 for live use. Currently just using my Sansamp for the PA.
