Joseph Kaufman Recital March 15th @ 2PM, U of Washington

    Joseph Kaufman, assistant principal bass of the Seattle Symphony, will give a recital on Sunday MARCH 15 @ 2PM in Brechemin Auditorium inside the School of Music building at the University of Washington. He will be accompanied by Francoise Papillon.

    The program is as follows:
    • JS Bach, Viola da Gamba Sonata in D Major BMV 1028
    • Paul Hindemith, Sonata for double bass and piano (1949)
    • Serge Prokofiev, Quintet for violin, viola, double bass, oboe and clarinet Opus 39

    Mr. Kaufman will also conduct a master class on SATURDAY, MARCH 14 @ 2PM in the same location as above. This class will be devoted to orchestral excerpts. The performers have already been chosen but this class is free and open to the public.

    PARKING IS FREE ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY! Try N-6 first, just opposite the School of Music building on the North Central campus.

    Tickets for the recital are $10 general admission and are on sale one half hour before the performance at the door. Please come early and allow for parking.
