any TB'ers near the Hammond, Louisiana area?

I'm going to bring the JP fretless Plume to a gig this Saturday, the 26th if anyone would like to check it out.

It's the only one in the US so far, so I'm happy to get it some exposure if anyone wants to try it out.

well, I wasn't actually planning on taking it IN the venue... that place reeks from cigarette smoke. Yuck. I wouldn't subject the Plume to that!

Who knows, maybe the cloud will dissipate this weekend...if so, I'll definitely get some shots with it. I'm still trying to perfect a ventilation/AC setup that will keep my Vdrums from getting the brunt of the carcinogens.
  6. I have to say I really love J.P.'s work, that fretless plume sounds great (on Xush's recordings). How is the neck attached? I see no bolts, but it also doesn't look like a traditional set neck.

By the way, major GAS for that single cut in your avatar, but fretless. Yumm.

Thanks GrooveCenter. The neck is glued. It's set neck constuction indeed. The next Plume basses may be bolt-ons.

A fretless hollow SC??? keep your eyes on this page

scroll down to the 'J neck' part, and there's a cross-section of how he does his necks...
    instrument specs

JP beat me to the in-progress singlecut.

There's a thread/page somewhere of one of his basses being built, let's see if we can find it.
It might show the process with the neck.

    yeah, forgot about that.
They just revamped the site though, I can't find that section.

JP, might want to fix your link to it too...

sounds great! sign in on the off-topic thread if you would so your fan club will know you're coming. I'll bet that alone could triple the Summit's attendance!
    Looking forward to seeing you.
The venue is a little different this year, details on the thread.

Awesome bass. If i had the money, the infamous words they are, I'd get a JP Singlecut Plume 5 string-those things grab my attention like none other and in a good way. It just looks right. Time to add to the GAS list. That's all
