    Sadowsky?
doesn't it say Fender on the headstock?
and the headstock shape is Fender-style.

I think that's his 1952 P bass (seen with a stripped finish with Led Zeppelin), restored by Manson Guitars.

  3. Looks like it says fender to me....

  4. it's nice but I also think that it's a fender not a sadowsky. (The most similar fender model that is currently in production is the Sting signature bass)

  5. I'm almost sure that's a Fender, as well. It would be no use for Sadowsky building basses identical to the ones you can get from Fender (CS or vintage, etc.) - down to the correct headstock and covers - would it? Plus, the logotype obviously says Fender. Apart from that, it IS a very nice bass! :)

I saw Aerosmith a few weeks ago and Tom played a similar Sadowsky but with MOP white pickguard and the body was painted metallic sparkle purple. But same pup combination, pickup selector/controls, and maple fingerboard.

I believe the pickguard was made out of Graphite or Kevlar. I'll ask Roger tomorrow @ work & verify it.
