    Consecration, or degradation ?
Has he sold out to the french government ?
    None of these.

Bass Magazine (the only french magazine about bass, actually a part of Guitarist Magazine) made a NAMM review, and they put pics of JT's basses. They even quoted his name.

Here is a bigger and wider version of it, for "le collectionneur californien" himself or his fans. :)

Hmm I was able to read "John Turner", "Conklin", and "Bartolini". The rest was gibberish :D Any chance of a translation???

I'm too lazy for that, but I think they made a mistake.
Did JT ever ordered a 9 string bass ? That's what they say.

no, i didn't order a 9 - that 9 that they showed belongs to another conklin endorser, the guy they showed with the bass, in fact. the other 9 that was there was bill dickens' new 9 string.

    and i'm not a california collector, dammit! i'm a georgia ... uh ... collector :(. ;)

thanks for the article, jazz ad. mille mercis

wow, what i can understand of that article is that they totally scrambled the facts. the doubleneck doesn't have any koa in the body, and the pickups are lane poors. the 8 string that they show is walnut with seymour duncans.

still, though, any press is good press, i guess. :D

JT, this magazine is real CRAP.

They only give errated info and I send them an e-mail every month :D

Never received any reply though! They should leave bass stuff to guys who know bass stuff!! :D

Gallien Krueger for the last 12 years!
I don't know if I'm ready for JT to go international.

That's what I thought, too. I spent 2 days in Atlanta once, and it was a pretty bad experience. Very mean people everywhere. Next time I go, I'll make sure I pay you a visit.

    You're welcome.

    Agreed.
I suscribed to it a long time ago when it was still a bass magazine. Not great, but since it was the only one, I kept it going.
    Then they switched to Guitarist.
They asked me if I wanted to suscribe again.
I never answered, but I keep getting it in the mailbox every month, so I won't complain.

There are mistakes everywhere, the guys, for the most part, have no idea what they're talking about.

Thierry Menu is a great bassist and stickist, along with a nice individual to meet.
