    I came across this delightful rendition of Bye Bye Blackbird. Can anybody Identify the bass player? It lists the Bobby Troup quintet as the backing band, whom I am not very familiar with.
    I love the way they end this song! (blush...lol)

    Bobby Troup was her husband.
    Also played one of the doctors on the seventies series "Emergency".
    They were both on that show.

    But the bass player is not Bobby Troup, I don't believe.

    BTW, I was also just thinking that this rendition probably wouldn't have been possible in at least parts of racist 1964 America.

    That's an awesome rendition of that song!
    Julie London was super classy and quite beautiful in her time.
