Well, I took the plunge and bought a used Bongo off of Ebay. Got what I thought was a fair price, and I liked the color (Lava Pearl). It's an HH, four string, fretted. I'm looking forward to putting it through it's paces. Given that a million people here at TB sing their praises, I had to try one out. I guess if I don't like it I can always sell it!

I'll post a review once I get it.

Unsurprisingly, I think you have made a wise decision.

But seriously, I'm always curious to hear what people think once they get their hands on the best new bass in decades.

    Does anyone think I'm biased?

Welcome to the club! It's easy to get biased with these things. :bassist:

As an old geezer I've got to say I tried one and found it (THEM actually, I tried a few.) to be quite remarkable. Easily as good as a bunch of really high end gear that I've tried and owned. Tell you what though, the shape and colors just don't do it for me, couldn't bring myself to buy one. Maybe they'll come out with a geezer version for us older folk. You know Bongo makers, the older folk with MONEY!!! :bassist:

Congrats! Bongos are my favorite bolt on production bass under $2000. Great basses, tons of tonal options.
