...and let me say it was worth the hour and a half drive to the music store. I live in Newark, DE and the closest one in stock was at The Music Place in Berlin, NJ. (great store, btw :) )
This bass kicks some serious tushie. Tight lows, clear, controlled mids and crisp highs from those bartolinis. I found myself getting a sound that worked for all applications that I currently employ: fingerstyle, muted thumb and slap. This was a huge plus for me. Rather than messing with the knobs on my american deluxe p to get a good sound for each different style, I just adjusted the position of my plucking hand for a different tone. All from an $1100 bass.
