Just got a Weeping Demon for cheap!

  1. Woo!!! I just scored an Ibanez Weeping Demon on ebay for $55 plus $10 for shipping. I'm pretty pumped. I recently stripped down my pedalboard to just a Bad Monkey, a Big Muff, a Boss NS-2 and a Rocktron x-tune, and I've been missing being able to make weird noises at will. I've been reading all kinds of good stuff about these pedals, so hopefully it will serve me well.

do you find the ns-2 actually stops the feedback from the big muff?

  3. Yeah, it works like a charm for killing the noise of the Big Muff. I play in a pretty hard band, and I used to be in a hardcore/metal band, so being able to cut the notes short for breakdowns is really, really important for me. I run all my pedals in the loop of the NS-2 (except the tuner; it doesn't seem to like being anywhere but first in line) and it works great.

ahh i always found the ns-2 never good enough with mine maybe its because i crank the mids far to much ;p

  7. Do you use the loop? That seems to be a lot more effective than simply running the NS-2 after the pedals. Since what I'm looking for with the NS-2 is a very fast, aggressive gate without the need for much sustain, I keep the threshold fairly high, and the sustain very low. If you need really long sustain, those settings might not work so well for you.

Cool on the NS-2. I have one on the way to try to kill the noise of my LBM. I have a Weeping Demon and love it. Very tweakable! Hopefully you enjoy yours as much I enjoy mine. :)
