Just received my Lakland 4-94 Dlx. Plays like butter. Here she is
Beautiful bass. If you don't mind my asking, how much did you have to throw down to get it? Lakland is definately on my wish list.
Jazz Lover, $2299 delivered new in box with case from Bass Central
Do you know how the import Laklands stack up to yours?
Actually, very well. Same electronics, assembled in USA, plays great. I have read other posts that say 80% of the bass for 50% of the price. I just had the USA lakland on my wish list
Thanks for the help. Your level of bass will stay on my wish list for years but I might be able to swing the import a lot sooner.
i saw a lakland in a music store today, try it and quit like it!!!
im just wondering> how can i tell if it is a USA or a Skyline??
it cost 1800$ and the guy told me it was 3700 new like it was a USA one..... but i want to make sure it is not the skyline and im paying for the real thing....
Well done! Now send your gear pr0n here: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=202212
Awesome! I want one so bad !
The word SKYLINE across the headstock should tip you off.
Those stickies come of easily(there's a black 55-02 in the for sale section with both "skyline" and "made in korea" removed).....look for the "Fishman" battery box on back, I think the US version uses a different one. I would get the s/n off the headstock and call Dan over at Lakland to be sure.
i chequed today again, it says "made in USA" behind the headstock
im getting it tommorrow
never thought ill be playing a lakland, but today i tryed one for first time, felt great and was VERY verstile, and thats a must for me.
if anyone can help me out with what does the switch does it would be great, i know it has to do with the wireing of the hummbucker, but dont know eactly what...
i have another question...
all the pics i saw on the net but the one of this topic had no battery comparment, so the battery is with the pre amp...
but the one im etting and the one on this thread pic had a separate battery comparment...... so is it that it is a different odel? different year? or what>?
Early Lakland Skylines did not have Skyline written on the headstock.
Wow, I had to check and make sure mine wasn't stolen. It looks just like my 4-94. Great bass - congratulations.
I've never been a fan of light-colored fingerboards, but Laklands are the best looking IMO. Extremely cool. They look like a bar of white chocolate to me (maybe they taste as good ). Congratulations!
%@XX damn, you beat me to it!
Wow that's sweet! I had no idea Laklands were that expensive though...
