Yes......it's true !!!

I recieved it via my friendly UPS guy on thursday!

I've posted some pics here :See my photos of Brubaker NBS-4 2001 at PhotoPoint

Now......I've only played it for about 40 minutes or so......due to a full gig weekend, but preliminary thoughts are that this bass is the real deal.

Check it out....

Is that EMG's I spot?

Either way, it's an incredible looking bass.

How does she sing?

Congrats, and I hope she serves you well for many years to come. :)

Oh, personally I HATE the colour! But it's not my bass so I don't mind. :)
Too bad about the colour, it's a real looker otherwise. How much of a fortune does one of those cost?

Congrats... Kevin builds some very nice basses.

For anyone not familiar with them, he builds a bolt on with a very deep pocket into the bass body... check out the photos of the back and the screw placement.

I just met another luthier from Baltimore and so far I've been extremely impressed with what he's come up with.

Oh, cool. :)

I'm not quite sure if I've ever played anythingwith Bart's in it... Actually, I think I might've. I atleast looking at a bass that had "bartolini" engraved in the pickup. Not sure if I played it, though. :)

Thanks Guys......I just wish I had more time to REALLY play with it........but soon !!

Pickups- Bartolini Soaps....Quad coil xxp25's
The bass has a 'coil' toggle switch.

Active NBTM pre- stack bass/treble , midrange with pull out boost. Pickup blend, and master vol w/ pull for passive mode.

.............tons of tonal variation........

Fretboard is cocabolo, body is hard maple/ash.

Neck design is as mentioned......What they call bolt-thru......bolt on neck set about 5/6 inches into the body.....sustain of a neck thru.....with the snap and punch of a bolt on.

List for this bass was $3260.00 .......let's say Jeff Smith (sales director ) made me an offer I couldnt refuse.

Does she sing ??? I'll let ya know soon as I can spend some real time with it !!

It's a Tung, it was made by Nicholas Tung, who used to work for Micheal Tobias before he sell the company to Gibson.
It's a 35" scale
bart pick up and pre
swamp ash
bolt on

It's a great bass, unfortunatly no longer in production. Nicholas build 100 of them and the serial number of mine is:0001
