Just got my new GK 1001-II and Neo 212-II

    First impression: power, obviously. We hear a lot about "moving air." This thing actually creates drafts.

    I'm getting better results with the decibel pad engaged, and I play a passive bass. That struck me as odd. I feel I get more clarity that way; less boomy, sounds more like "my bass".

    I still need more time with it, but I don't feel the same clarity and punch as when I had the 700-II and Neo 112.

    Take it to band practice tomorrow. I'm definitely glad I got it, as long as it holds up.

  3. He died from the lethal dosage of awesome the 1001rb-II produces.
  4. That boominess might due to upgrading to a larger cab and playing it at the same volume as the smaller one, I have noticed a boominess when playing through large cabs at low volumes.
