Well you can't ask for resale value without being a supporting member, but check the classifieds and you'll get a good estimate.

Hate to do this but I have to ask where is that rule about resale value which says only supporting members can inquire? I just read the consolidated sticky about the rules for the basses forum and I didn't notice any mention of inquiring about resale value of instruments. Not to say it is not there but like I said, I didn't notice it. The rule would not affect me but I am just curious as I see some potential benefit (which i would be happy to explain) in letting everyone post here about the subject. Thanks. Roger
To expand on that, it's generally OK for a non-supporting member to ask about value when related to a bass they are interested in purchasing. At least that is the way I have always taken it.
Correct. The rule began when non-supporting members began posting value question threads as a means of mentioning items they were trying to sell without using the actual Classifieds to get potential buyers. It does not apply to those who wish to purchase items (just as the Wanted section of the Classifieds is not limited to supporting members).
