Just in from NAMM

  1. Just got back from Bassquake. Great fun. I'm really tired, but all TB'ers seem to be accounted for. Some nice stuff at NAMM. I got to meet Lee Sklar! Photos soon.

  2. That 12 stringer is one of the more queer looking things i've ever seen in my life. If I held it in my arms, I don't even think I'd know what to do with it. Man, thanks for posting those pics, theyre awesome!

JP, I assume it's a new version of the bridge that he used to use on his Neuser. It has a switch that makes his fretted bass sound fretless. I have a feeling it's like what the cloth string does that's under the metal strings of a sitar. Very cool. Man, I really wish I could be there just to see Dominique! :bassist:

ah, I feard it was THAT ;)

such a crappy system...dominiques doesn't need that to make his bass sound fretless!!!
sad endorsement and marketing thing :(

not sure about that. Actually I saw/heard dominique at the musikmesse 2 years ago using the first system. He sounded just as "fretless like" when using the right touch with the bridge in the standard position.

    Peace,
    JP

Hey, Funky-C, what's the deal on that "outer shell" for the Walkabout head? The sparkly blue cover is of course rad, but is it for anything other than looks? And are those Powerhouse 1x12's it is sitting on top of? Intriguing...
