Just learned to play steppin out by joe jackson!

    Such a wicked bass line! how does this guy do it & sing back up while not gettin hand cramps!

    wow, how do you play octaves that fast with a pick...ouch...

    I remember that song being very fun to play..but I could use my thumb for the bottom octave notes

    ...cuz it is Graham Maby AND he plays with a pick. Great player from the 80's! :hyper:

    I wondered who the bass player was! I heard this song on the radio the yesterday & remembered what a great song it was! I had too learn it!Im gonna keep stabbing away at it today,about once a hour until I nail it or develop cartilage in left hand!!ha

    Excellent song from the 80's. Very nice moving / dancing bass-line. Good pocket.

    Wow! I've always loved Joe Jackson, but never realized that it was played on a bass (thought it was on synthesizer), and to sing back up at the same time is really impressive. Good on you for learning it!
