  1. <dudepit copy>

Power Amp - QSC PLX 2402
    Pre Amp - Aguilar DB659
    Cabinet - Bergantino HT212

2 chanels of 700 watts at 4 ohms.

the bergantino is rated at 700 watts at 4 ohms.

    what could be better!?!?!?!?!?

should have it in my grubby little hands by mid week!!!

i need to sell all my HR GIGER stuff to get another berg 212 and another ZON!!!!!

i feel bad that i got swept up in that heat and didn't give Gard and the boyz at basscentral.com a shot...

    FORGIVE ME!!!!!!!
  2. That's a sweet rig, nice going. hehe. It's nice to see Aguilar gear on the rise, it's excellent stuff. And the berg also kicks. I think when i get my aguilar head, i'm gonna go Epifani 212. Ah 12's, they rock as well. ;)
  3. epifani was my other choice.

  4. So what about the Berg pushed you that way over the Epifani?
  5. aside from current owners RAVING about the bergs.

    2 things:

    1. a slightly higher power rating. 700watts with the bergs and 600 watts with the epifani.

    2. the berg has a cast horn tweeter as opposed to the bullet tweeter the epifani has.

    oh, AND CASTERS!!!!!!!!

the proof is in the listening, of course. and i'm sure both would go head to head!

its all a leap of faith at this point.

BUT, compared to my current rig...i'm sure i'll be blown away!

  6. what i REALLY wanted:

    QSC PLS 3402 power amp

    Avalon 737 pre amp

and TWO wayne jones 2x10's cabs.

but, this would have cost me $6000.

    oh well.

    next life.

  7. PLX 3402 rather.

    Didn't know HR GIGER made amps. I guess they're perfect for a Warwick Alien. . . :D

Seriously - what HR GIGER stuff would that be?
  9. the cornerstone to my Giger crap is the leather bound, red slip cased printing of necronomicon 1 & 2 with the round disc hologram cover. #6 of 666.

    bought that in 1991

and a bunch of his softbound first printing books.

german printings, japanese printings, uk printings.

most of which were purchased in the 70's.

    tuff to find these dayz.

Your going to love how smooth the crossover and horn sound on the Berg, Fred! It was the one of the things I instantly noticed over my Edens....that and the massive low end:)
